Author: Marta Moran-Bishop | Website

Marta Moran Bishop grew up in the wilds of Northern Minnesota before the age of computers, when television was still in its infancy.

Later she moved to Seattle Washington, then on to the inner city of Chicago. She is the product of three generations of women writers.

Her grandmother Helen Springer Moran and her mother Patricia Moran grew up in and around Washington D.C. Though the backgrounds growing up were different the life experiences shared many qualties. Responsiblity, love of animals, children, literature and the Arts.

She currently lives and writes in Massachusetts with her husband, 3 horses, cats and birds who help her remember to view the world through a child's innocense.

The verses in Wee Three come from memories drawn from stories as early as 1924. For instance:

"Baby Brother"
He's very small and rather red,
And has no hair upon his head.
All he does is lie in bed;
I wish we had a dog instead.

is indicative of many small children who get their wish of a baby brother or sister only to find that it isn't a toy or much fun for them yet.

She is currently editing her book "The Nurse Mare's Foal" which is the story of a foal who struggles for life and home, after losing his mother six hours after birth.
