We rejoin the adventures of Travis and Paige in this second installment of this series that started with "The Breach." It has been two years since the last adventure. Travis is under the radar with a different job and a new name. He's still having trouble sleeping due his last Tangent adventure. He plans to go about his life quietly and try to forget Tangent and all its mysteries. That is easier said than done. His doorbell rings and he gets embroiled back into Tangent business once again. Paige is in trouble. A new artifact that came through has offered a glimpse into a very desolate and bleak future. It's up to Travis, Paige, and Bethany to try and avert the horrible future that they glimpsed. That is a virtually impossible task when the upper echelons of government are in on the cause of the future that they glimpsed. This is a new adventure in the Travis Chase series, and it is as good as the first. Grab this book and hold on for one helluva ride. You won't be disappointed. This is one series that you have to read from the beginning and it is well worth the price.
