Patrick Lee's new series, starting with "The Breach," opens up a whole new world full of action, suspense, and thrills. The reader better hang on tight, because it's one exhilarating ride. This story totally envelops the reader. Once you start you don't want to come up for air. Travis Chase is an ex-cop that was just released from prison for manslaughter. Normally from Minnesota, he goes to Alaska to get a fresh perspective and a fresh start. While hiking in the back woods he stumbles across a downed 747. That isn't the odd part, what's odd is that everyone has been executed, but no one is organizing a rescue. Especially since one of the victims is the First Lady. He follows her bloody progress to one of the state rooms where he finds her dead with a cryptic note in her hand. Thus begins his adventure. He finds tracks leaving the plane, follows them, and comes upon a hostage situation with two of the survivors. He watches while an elderly gentleman is executed, and a good looking woman is being systematically tortured. Old cop instincts kick in, and he finds himself rescuing the only survivor. This is the beginning of his adventure in covert operations. He finds himself helping Paige while she tries to stop a cataclysmic event that could change the course of history as we know it. This was a nail biter from the get go. There are so many twists and turns that it leads the reader on an exhilarating adventure that you are soon not to forget. This is a great beginning to what appears to be an awesome trilogy. Come along for the ride, you won't be disappointed.
