A NIGHT OWL REVIEWS BOOK REVIEW | Reviewed by: Terri

Triss Long has been watching her across the street neighbor for several years. She doesn't think he realizes he's being watched as he brings women home to play with. Triss never expects to meet him and she knows that she'd never play like he likes, still he intrigues her. All that changes when she leaves a condo she is cleaning and bumps into him with a date! While his date acts like a bitch, the neighbor not only looks better up close but he's polite.

Vince Black isn't sure who Triss Long is but he sure wants to get to know her better. After telling his date to go, Vince waits for Triss to make an appearance so he can walk her to her car. He's pleasantly surprised to learn she just lives across the street.

Vince may want to play with Triss but Triss isn't sure she wants to play with Vince. Everything he wants is the opposite of what Triss believes. Can they come up with a compromise or will it be all or nothing?

Triss is torn between what her body wants and what her head tells her. Her best friend doesn't help either! What's a girl to do?

I absolutely, positively loved this book.

Triss and Vince are awesome characters. Triss grew up learning that she shouldn't submit to anyone and she should and could stand on her own two feet. She's done that for years and has never let a boyfriend get close. Vince wants Triss and thinks she's worth a wait but after 6 months of phone sex, he's ready for more. He doesn't ignore Triss's concerns but wants her to figure out what she truly wants, not what she's been told she wants.

Triss's struggle between what she's been told good girls want and what she is drawn to reflects what so many women are told. How can she submit to a man when she is his equal? As she works out where she's going and how she's getting there, the emotions will pull at you.

Two small things distracted me from this story. The first was Triss's vehicle. In the beginning of the story she has an SUV and at the end she has a truck. Just a minor detail and maybe she has both! The other is her best friend. Originally, she doesn't want Triss to have anything to do with Vince, doesn't want her to have sex and doesn't' want Triss to have any type of relationship even though she is in one. Later, she comes across as highly supportive and willing to talk about the kinks Triss is looking at. Strange little twist in attitude.

This is the third book in Qwilla Rain's Neighbor series. You do not need to read the previous two books to thoroughly enjoy this one. There is a couple of brief moments when characters from previous stories make an appearance but you really don't need to know their story to enjoy this one.

I have to strongly recommend this story to anyone who loves a good romance with a bit of kink. This Dom is everything a girl could want and Triss is his perfect match. Hot sex, emotional tensions and a story you will find yourself thinking about hours later can only mean that you'll need a cold drink, a fan and your own guy close by when you read this short story.

Book Blurb for Teach Me, Master

Triss Long loved watching her neighbor and the games he played with his lovers. Whether it was ropes or whips, blindfolds or ball gags, the way his body moved mesmerized Triss, and fueled a few of her own fantasies. Not to mention inspiring a scene or two in the erotic novels she wrote.

Until the day she literally fell at his feet.

Now that Vince Black's attention is focused on her, Triss has to choose between the naughty girl who's dying to play along, and the good girl her mama raised who's screaming "Run Away!"
