Dangerous Race

Adrenaline Highs, #1

Dangerous Race was an exciting adventure to take. I like NACAR racing so I knew this book was one I wanted to pick-up. Trace aka Tracey really was a female driver for the fortune 500 car. She loved living and being near the track since she was a young child. She was involved in an accident, on the race track, four years ago and has been striving to get back to where she was before the accident. She worked hard thru physical therapy and the setbacks that kept her from returning. Finally she is ready to give the same race a try again. Her mentor Joe suddenly dies from a heart attack and is replaced by Mac. Mac is a former driver of her car. He hasn’t raced in years. Mac does everything he can do to get Trace to trust him. They fight and never agree on the same things. They also fight the physical attraction between them. Trace thinks since she has a disfiguring scar she isn't love worthy and is now ugly. She believes no one will ever love her again. Mac wants to prove otherwise.

The story line is exciting as each turn around the track makes you wonder what will happen next. Trace is the heroine in this story and she is very determined to be on top of the racing world again. Mac thinks she's too reckless and tries to control her…

Book Blurb for Dangerous Race

Four years ago, race car driver Tracey Bradshaw almost died in a horrific crash. Now scarred inside and out, she's making a comeback, but her team is plagued by a series of "accidents".

When the team leader dies under mysterious circumstances, former driver Mac Reynolds takes charge. The pair clash as Trace resents his high-handed attempts to control her, while Mac fears Trace's recklessness will get her killed. Neither can throttle back the desire that spins out of control whenever they touch. Trace lets herself be seduced when Mac convinces her he finds her beautiful despite her scars, and she begins to hope for more. But Mac knows he's not nearly good enough for Trace...
