Crimson Death

An Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter Novel, #25

Anita is off on another adventure and meeting new people as well. Ireland, I’ve always wanted to go there and I love that Hamilton does her research on new places she puts in her books. It gave me a glimpse of how I imagined it to be.

Damian and the Fae, not something you hear together a lot but it happens in Crimson Death. It seems that every time they get settled something else pops up. I’m still getting used to Anita being with women but I have to say there is little to no detail when it comes to them but the guys get a couple pages at least; when it comes to sex with Anita. The Harlequin play a big part in this one and the last couple of pages will make you scream, cry, snarl and pissed off.

Hamilton knows how to spin a story that will suck you in and never release you. I was glad to see a little more action in this book. In the others it started to go away and was replaced with the sex scenes; which isn’t bad but I love to see Anita fight. There are so many enemies you never know where they are coming from or how they are going to strike but like always Anita and her people handle it together and I really love that. Anita and Jean-Claude might be in charge but their people have a voice and are listened to when the circumstances call for it. I’ll just point out that Edward is awesome, cracks me up and shit gets done when he and Anita come together.
