Bananas Foster and a Dead Mobster

Poppy Peters Mysteries, #3

A. Gardner cooks up another winner with this culinary cozy. I was so happy to catch up with Poppy Peters and her pastry school pals as I've become a fan of this transplanted Georgian peach. After adding the mob into the mix it was no secret that I was going to love this story as I'm a sucker for mysteries with wiseguys. There is something just so darn endearing about Poppy and her ability to get pulled into murder investigations, usually as the main suspect. The new pastry instructor has a celebrity size ego and I loved watching the interactions between him and Poppy and later in the story between him and Poppy's pastry school rival. It was nice to see the changing relationships between Poppy and her friends. I cannot wait to see what Poppy and her cupcake queen roommate get up to in their next adventure as it promises to be quite the sweet suspense. If you are a fan of a tasty treat when it comes to your cozy mysteries this one is definitely delectable.

Poppy Peters is counting down the days to graduation. She isn't sure what the future holds for either herself or her friends but she wasn't expecting to be a person of interest in yet another murder. Now she's ducking the mob while uncovering secrets about her fellow pastry school peeps and trying to catch a killer before she becomes the next victim.
