Hospitality and Homicide

A Tourist Trap Mystery

Lynn Cahoon does it again! Once again I found myself immersed in Jill Gardner's frantic and fun life. This time around she truly does try to stay un-involved with the murder but fate seems to have other plans for her when she starts collecting clues instead of studying for her finals. I enjoyed that Jill's relationship took a big front row seat in this installment. While it wasn't the major attraction it was definitely a key player. I love mysteries but I'm also just a big old romantic so I am a fan of a little love with my cozy. It was great to visit with some of the characters from the previous story and to get caught up on their lives. Part of what makes Jill's adventures so entertaining are the fabulous people she has along for the ride. I enjoyed following mystery author Nathan Pike around and seeing just how his processes worked and I was fascinated by his attitude when he became a suspect. I enjoyed the fact that this book is fun and feels car free but there are major serious notes and the mystery is well thought out. Whether you are looking to make a return trip like I did to South Cove California or if this will be your first visit if you are a cozy fan do yourself a giant favor and pick up this fantastic story.

The Story: Jill Gardner is too preoccupied with working at her cafe and bookstore while returning to college to help her beau solve a a murder. However Jill can't quench her curiosity and soon the clues are piling up. But will she be able to figure out the who and why before she becomes the next victim?
