Identity Crisis

Eliza Daly delves into the mysterious life of an art forger and the daughter he raises under Federal Witness Security Program without her knowledge. Olivia Doyle is a strong, successful woman and we are introduced to her in a time of heartache and turmoil yet she does not need our pity. The way she handles her confusion, pain and surprise is highly admirable, and yet she isn’t so stoic that she comes across as callous or uncaring. It’s U.S. Marshal Ethan Ryder’s job to remain stoic and a little hard-hearted towards the people he protects yet he still very supportive and compassionate. Their attraction is palpable and I enjoyed watching them deal with the consequences of the highly intense appeal. All of the characters in this story are so very authentic, so genuine that I felt as if I were surrounded by a whole cast of quirky neighbors. The settings were fantastic and the pace impeccable. The mystery was solid, the romance sweet and the chemistry explosive, this story had a little bit of everything and was picture-perfect read on a bright sunny day or a cold winter night.

After Olivia Doyle’s father dies she discovers her life has been a lie.
