Jennifer L. Armentrout delivers a spectacular suspense story with this fabulous contemporary. Sasha is such a deep and well developed heroine. I thoroughly enjoyed how we found out about her past little by little there wasn't just a huge information dump but instead we got to see her character revealed as her past came to light while she was handling the present and hoping for the future. I liked that she was rather ordinary for a woman who had gone through such an amazing ordeal. Witnessing her homecoming and her interactions with so many people who had been so important to her was almost bittersweet. The fact that their was extreme violence in the storyline but that it wasn't exploited, rather it was displayed in such a way that I found it much more psychologically trilling than if all the gory details had been described in minute detail. Cole is an absolute breath of fresh air. He's a strong intelligent man who isn't interested in games or lies. His loyalty and fierceness made him all the more heroic. If you like your suspense stories with a solid romance and delightfully interesting secondary characters who are more realistic than quirky this is a definite must read.
