I absolutely loved this invaluable reference tool. I felt that both Ms. Charles and Ms. Rogers wrote it in such a fashion that any writer will be able to work on their own writing platform because of all the wonderfully creative tips these authors provided us. As I turned each page, I saw more and more pointers that I'd never even thought of before. These women inspire you and tell you what you need to do in such easy to follow steps in how to get your platform going or how to strengthen your platform if you already started one. They even gave examples that any writer can use to immediately start to become proactive on building your own foundation up. This is a must have book for any writer's library and I'm so happy I've read it. I eagerly look forward to reading the other books in this informative series. I highly recommend this book to any writer and I can assure you'll find this to be one of your "keeper" manuals that you reference often from your writing arsenal. Well done ladies!
Writing a great story is no longer enough to land a contract. With economic downsizing, publishers are extremely selective when it comes to acquiring authors, often allowing their marketing and sales department to have the final say. These days, it takes a platform that is equal to the story in excellence and potential—a complete package—for you and your book to make it through the acquisitions gauntlet.
For the first time, fiction authors have a platform reference guide written just for them. Nail It! The Secret to Building an Effective Fiction Writer’s Platform uses motivating and enlightening lessons, author interviews, and several examples to explain how to build a fiction writer’s platform that will impress publishing professionals and clear a path to success.
