Shari Randall dishes up a delightful culinary cozy mystery with this delicious story. This starts off the Lobster Shack Mystery series.
The quirky characters and the fun handling of this mystery made this a nice and easy read. Aunt Gully is an absolute sweetheart and I don’t doubt if I were Allie Larkin I’d do whatever I could to make sure the fabulous comfort food chef isn’t convicted for crimes she didn’t commit. As an ocean lover and a long time fan of mermaids I just knew I was going to enjoy this story and I wasn’t disappointed as I watched Allie using as much of her dancer grace as she could while lumbering around on her one good leg to clear her aunt’s name and bring a killer to justice. I loved that there was a good pool of suspects and seeing Allie discovering what each was hiding was entertaining. Without giving anything away I cannot say just how much I enjoyed the conclusion to the mystery and the story. If you like your cozy mysteries with tasty culinary twist this is an appetizing choice.
