"The Uninvited Corpse" is the first book in the Food Blogger Mystery series! It’s about Hope Early, a food blogger who must help solve a murder before her sister goes to jail!
I have to say that I really enjoyed reading it! The cover really drew me in with its vibrant colors. Upon reading the first page, I instantly connected with the Hope, sympathizing with her and liking her personality. I liked her strong attitude and her drive to do better.
The other characters were all quaint, making the small town of Jefferson come alive before my eyes. Everyone just came off as realistic and entertaining. The physical descriptions of the town were really beautiful and vivid, making me wish I could actually visit.
The mystery itself unfolded rather excitingly. It gripped me rather quickly and never let me go until I turned that last page. Many twists and turns were thrown at me, giving the book an unpredictable edge that I loved.
Overall, it’s an excellent start to a new cozy series! The characters were great, the mystery was exciting, and the ending left me satisfied. I highly recommend.
