Missing in Machu Picchu

I was, quite honestly, thrilled to get this book for review. And I was not in the least bit disappointed at all. Missing in Machu Picchu is a novel that mixes in the mystery of Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, along with four women who are at times friendly and at times very snarky with each other. Add in the requisite bad boy who in not what he seems, and two native women who also are not what they seem, and you have a novel that is, in part, almost a chick lit story, with a mystical twist set in one of the most gloriously mysterious places in the world. All in all it was a fun and twisted adventure that was very difficult to put down, and I have no doubt in my mind that readers everywhere will agree.

Four friends in desperate need of a vacation set off on the adventure of a lifetime. Hilary, Gabby, Tiffany and Mercy head down to South America to take on the Inca Trail and hike up to Machu Picchu with the help of a mysterious man named Rodrigo who agrees to lead them up there….for a price. What the ladies don’t expect is the fact that Rodrigo is, in a word, gorgeous. What they don’t know is that he’s up to far more than he’s let on to any of them. As Rodrigo leads the four women off into the unknown, two Inca wise women know what he’s up to and will do their upmost to try and stop him, along with a mysterious French woman who was also wronged by Rodrigo in the past. Can the four women be saved, or will they too fall victim to Rodrigo’s schemes?
